We are excited to announce a new partnership with the Deaf Action Center (DAC) based in Texas! This collaboration will introduce Direct Video Calling (DVC) for DAC’s services, allowing for Deaf and hard of hearing Texans to use their videophones to call and receive one-on-one support in ASL. This partnership perfectly aligns both our missions to boost communication and service accessibility.
“We are thrilled to work with the Deaf Action Center to bring this awesome and equitable solution to the Texas Deaf community,” said Greg Pollock, Division President of ASL Now. “Through this partnership, we’re combining our technology with DAC’s established services to provide immediate, real-time ASL support for Deaf and hard of hearing Texans in need of assistance."
By simply clicking the “ASL NOW” button on the DAC website, users will be connected to an ASL-fluent representative to have their questions and needs met.
DAC offers a wide range of services made to empower people within the Deaf and hard of hearing community, including advocacy, housing assistance, senior programs, ASL classes, and more.
